The threshold for different types of surface codes has been studied under various noise models (see this paper / arXiv and other references obtained by a quick literature search).
I am curious about the status of similar calculations for good quantum LDPC codes under standard noise models such as local i.i.d. Pauli noise.
Question:
- Are there any known results or published papers that explicitly calculate thresholds for good quantum LDPC codes?
- If such threshold estimates do not exist, what are the potential reasons? For example, are there any obvious difficulties intrinstic to calculating the threshold for these types of models?
