I am an aspiring nuclear Navy Sailor. I have loved science since I can remember, but I don't wanna just be a person making some consumer product, no matter how amazing. I want to do something about this world with what I do. Despite many fears and controversies about nuclear and its hazardous waste, the fact is that if done right, there is little to no danger. Also the hazardous waste is very concentrated compared to other wastes from energy production, such as coal dust, pollution, sludges, carbon outputs and many other issues. Nuclear is by far cleaner than other fossil fuel energy sources, but people see those 55 gallon barrels with poison on the side that are churned out hardly ever, but forget to look at the seemingly small amount of waste that is churned out by coal on a daily basis. On this site, I hope to learn most of all, but also defend my choice of energy above the opposition that has plagued it since its conception. I am not a genius like some on this site may be, but I love to learn and have a very strong grasp on logic and true need versus want, which is why I think I can raise some interesting questions AND answers for those willing to listen with an open mind.
