I'm looking for a textbook which covers condensed matter physics from the angle of QFT modeling. I'm a theoretical particle physicist, I have a good knowledge of QFT and I have taken an introductory course in condensed matter physics.

Can you recommend me textbooks suited to my background? I'm looking to self-study the topic simply out of curiousity.

Here are some references that are good for this :

  • Topological Quantum (Steven H. Simon)
  • Field Theories of Condensed Matter Physics (Eduardo Fradkin)
  • Quantum Field Theory of Many-Body Systems: From the Origin of Sound to an Origin of Light and Electrons (Xiao-Gang Wen)
  • Modern Condensed Matter Physics (Kun Yang and Steven Girvin)

These books cover from the more common condensed matter topics until very recent developments in topological phases of matter, which is very connected with some QFT concepts, like Chern-Simons theories for example.
