as we know that gravitational potential is a scalar quantity, so in the calculation of gravitational potential inside a ring at centre we neglect that gravitational field at centre is zero. Sir but in a hollow sphere we consider no gravitational field or zero gravitational field and consider potential at surface why is this difference in assumptions?
