light beams

I was sitting in class and looked at my tablet screen for a second. Noticed the sun made this colourful X shape. It's probably some sort of scattering off the screen, but I'm not so sure.

Could someone please explain why it's so colourful? It's mostly orange but around the sun there are several layers of rainbows.... The photo is attatched to this post.

Firstly, the particular scattering pattern here, is not smooth line-like as you would generally see from a shiny surface but looks grainy with small rectangular patterns. This is due to the screen itself being made of rectangular pixels which are red, blue and green to display those colors, giving rise to this grainy pattern.

Now, the sun looks yellowish white in color due to a large part of blue spectrum is already scattered due to atmosphere. Still some part of that spectrum is there, giving rise to this mini rainbow.
