I am an evolutionary ecologist (a lab one, not one of the cool ones who capture birds). Stats were esoteric to me until 2011. Someone took the time to teach me lmers and glmers with R, which allowed common sense to take over recipes and pre-made workflows. Since then, I try to help others as I can, mostly with knowledge based on my own experience.
