I have a Bluebird prepaid card https://www.bluebird.com/customer and a few days ago, I get an email saying that my Bluebird card and account is locked, saying

For security reasons, your Bluebird® Prepaid Debit Account and card have been locked. After review, we will let you know by email if you are required to take action to unlock your account or if your account has been permanently closed.

Call the number on the back of your credit card, which is guaranteed to go to the people actually managing the card, and ask them what's going on. Or go to the appropriate website -- manually, NOT trusting the link in the email!!! -- and see whether the problem is confirmed/explained there.

If you really want to, you can dig deeper into that email and look for give-aways that it was faked. But frankly, I wouldn't bother, and would skip directly to other channels of communication that I know are trustworthy.
