I recently checked my LexisNexis CLUE report and noticed that my two dismissed tickets are listed in the report. I’m confused because I’m not sure if the status codes on the report indicate that the tickets were dismissed or not, and I can’t tell if they’re being treated as convictions or just referenced for some reason.
My main concerns are:
- Should dismissed tickets even appear in a LexisNexis report in the first place?
- If they’re on there, can insurance companies see them and potentially use that as a reason to increase my rates, even though they were dismissed?
If anyone has experience with LexisNexis, dismissed tickets, or how insurance companies view this, I’d really appreciate your input. Also, if you’ve disputed something like this with LexisNexis before, any tips on how to proceed would be amazing.
