System requirements
System requirements refers to the hardware and software specifications that a device must meet in order to play a video game.
Minecraft
The system requirements for Minecraft vary between different editions on the game. The requirements for each edition are explained on that edition's page. Here is a list of links to the "System requirements" section of each edition's page:
- Bedrock Edition
- Simply titled Minecraft. This edition is available on most platforms.
- Java Edition
- Titled Minecraft: Java Edition, this edition is only available on PC devices
- Minecraft Education
- An educational edition of Minecraft designed for classroom use.
- China Edition
- A release of Minecraft that is only available in mainland China.
- Legacy Console Edition
- This edition doesn't have any system requirements, because it was released with specific editions designed for specific console systems.
