Versus Mode, or PVP Mode[1], is an online PVP mode within Minecraft Legends. The goal is to destroy the enemy team's Wellhouse in order to win.

Gameplay

In Versus Mode, players are split into teams of four, named "Blue Team" and "Orange Team", for a total of eight players maximum per match. Each team has a wellhouse that spawns on opposite far ends of the map. The objective of the mode is to destroy the enemy team's wellhouse, which team destroys the wellhouse determines which team wins the match.

Differences from Campaign

Multiple features function differently in Versus Mode than they do in the Campaign, a list of these differences is found below:

  • Villages and all Homesteads do not generate
  • Bosses do not spawn
  • All buildable structures have different building costs
  • Warriors are spawned via warrior huts instead of spawning at villages
  • The Firsts require spawners to be spawned instead of being found throughout the world
  • Multiple of one First type can exist at the same time
  • Mounts can spawn naturally at any time instead of needing to first encounter their respective homes
  • Witch huts spawn in swamp biomes rather than villages, and cannot be destroyed

Knowledge

Knowledge announcing that an abundant allays improvement has been built.

During a Versus Mode match, Knowledge will verbally announce what is happening during it. The things they announce include:

  • When either team gains the ability to gather a new resource
  • When either team gains the ability to spawn the Firsts
  • When either team gains the ability to spawn warriors, skeletons, creepers, or zombies
  • When either team gains the ability to build power towers
  • When either team's wellhouse is taking damage
  • When either team's structures are taking damage
  • When any improvement is built
  • When an improvement hub is built
  • When a lapis flag is built

Accolades

Main article: MCL:Accolade

After the match is completed, an ending screen is shown to all players. On this screen players are shown five accolades, which are achievements that certain players attained during the match. For example, the "Sky Scraper" accolade is awarded to the player that built the most structures during the match. Accolades serve no purpose or function other than providing this information.
