An acacia sapling was a plant used to grow acacia trees.

Obtaining

Breaking leaves

Breaking acacia leaves placed on a buildplate had a chance to drop an acacia sapling, similar to other tree types.

Tappables

Interacting with Tree Tappables that spawn in the real world occasionally rewarded the player with acacia saplings.

Chests

Acacia saplings could also appear as loot inside chest tappables and adventure chests.

Usage

Growing trees

Placing an acacia sapling on dirt, grass block, coarse dirt, farmland, or podzol within a buildplate allowed it to grow into an acacia tree after roughly 30 seconds of real‑world time, provided sufficient space was available.

Fuel

Each sapling could be used as furnace fuel, smelting 0.5 items.

Composting

Adding an acacia sapling to a composter had a 30% chance to raise the compost level by 1.
