For questions related to the charging & drive systems of plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV). These vehicles have a, typically relatively small, traction battery as well as an internal combustion engine (ICE). Examples include the Chevy Bolt, Chrysler Pacifica, Kia Niro PHEV, and the Hyundai Kona PHEV. Unlike "conventional" hybrid vehicles PHEVs allow (or require) the battery to be charged by plugging in to an external charger.

Otherwise known as PHEV. Vehicles which can be plugged in to charge the batteries, but also have an ICE, such as the Chevrolet Volt.
