Ducati 696 2012 fuel lines. I have one set with leaking hose and another with a broken quick connect. I would like to Frankenstein the components together. The connection between the 8mm diameter fuel hose and a thinner vinyl lead is made by a "stepless oetiker" ear clamp. I'm not sure how or if these are removable and, if I do, if they can be replaced. If this can be done, what is the process of undoing the clamp?
They are removable, but not reusable. They are designed to be attached and stay put. They are a cheap, easy, effective way of clamping/sealing hoses in automotive situations. The only way to get them off is a destructive method with the idea they will need to be replaced.
You can get a direct replacement clamp, but it takes a special tool to put them on. You may be able to find your original type clamps on Amazon with crimpers designed to snug them up. Your best bet is to replace these with re-usable worm gear (jubilee) or other readily available clamps.
