I have this warning on a Toyota Prius 2007's dashboard when the car engine is turned off:

However, I believe I do have the proper key fob since I can use it to start the car. So what could explain that I have this warning?

I've just changed the key fob battery (CR2032) but the warning is still present:

From my understanding, it's a normal warning sign when the car is locked: it simply means one needs the key fob to start the car.

From https://priuschat.com/threads/hybrid-vehicle-immobilizer-theft-deterrent-system-indicator-stays-on-and-drains-battery.191707/ about a Toyota Prius 2004, by jerrymildred:

The immobilizer is supposed to be on when you shut down the car

It's normal and means that the engine immobilizer is active. It's part of the anti-theft system.
