I saw a YouTube video where someone uses a rotary hammer to loosen a stuck hydraulic hose fitting: Jesse Muller - Buying and Fixing an Inoperable Skidsteer (44:58)
That technique seemed to work well at the timestamp in the above mentioned link. However, at other points in the video, such as shortly after 42:47, the chisel slipped off the hex-shaped fitting due to the vibration from the tool.
Is there a way to prevent the chisel from slipping? For example, weld a stopper onto the fitting. Or place a wrench-shaped tool onto the fitting and place the chisel onto the tool.
Skill level: novice.
