Yesterday, an international student was arrested in apparent retaliation for what she wrote in a newspaper. The federal government is also retaliating against this student with adverse administrative actions, such as visa revocation.
Why would the federal government think that this person is somehow not subject to first amendment protections for freedom of the press? Are there any cases specific to freedom of the press and foreign nationals?
