Introduction

If your bristle pad from your hairbrush has become detached, this guide will help you fix it back on.

If your bristle pad is only partially detached, gently detach it entirely from the hairbrush so that new adhesive can be applied as shown in the guide.

    • Thoroughly clean the brush base and bristle pad by rinsing them under hot water and using a brush.

    • Ensure that the area where the glue is to be applied is free of any debris or old adhesive. A vacuum or compressed air can be used to remove debris if necessary.

    • Leave a weight on top of the bristle side of the hairbrush to allow a good seal while the glue dries. Ensure the weight is light enough that it does not bend the bristles out of shape.

    • Leave the weight on as long as it takes for the glue to dry.

    • Allow the glue to dry completely before using your brush again. Drying times can vary between glue products. While hot glue dries relatively quickly, it can still take 24-48 hours to fully cure.
