I started answering questions in 2024 to get out of the question ban I earned by asking low-quality questions back in 2017.
I’m not sure if answering has lifted the ban, but helping other devs turned out to be fun.

AFAIU the end of 2024 isn’t the best time to earn reputation on Stack Overflow :)
But IMHO, it’s still a great way to learn new things, practice communication skills and test your knowledge.
