Hello! I am Kevin Burns, a dedicated and passionate technology enthusiast with a comprehensive background in software engineering and IT management. My journey with computers began at a young age, attending "Computer Trade Shows" with my father and uncle, where I immersed myself in the world of hardware and software.

Throughout my career, I have developed a robust skill set, starting with self-taught programming in C and AT&T Assembly, eventually mastering Intel syntax with NASM and C++. My professional experience includes serving as a Network Admin (31U/74B) in the US Army, creating HIPAA-compliant software for an EMS squad in Pennsylvania while serving as an EMT, and developing software for hearing aids and related adjustment tools.

Currently, I am the Director of Development Operations at Newcleus Financial, where I lead the development of secure and scalable software solutions. My technical expertise spans C#, Java, Python, SQL databases, ReactJS, .NET Core WebAPI, and various front-end frameworks. I have successfully transitioned a desktop application to a web-based platform, demonstrating my ability to manage complex projects and deliver high-quality code.

I excel in system design, application development, and ensuring operational stability. My hands-on experience with APIs and cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS, and Microsoft Azure, combined with my proficiency in distributed version-control systems like Git, has driven technological advancements and improved organizational processes.

Outside of work, I am an ultra-marathon runner and a dedicated vegan. I enjoy teaching my two sons about technology and continuously strive to improve my knowledge and skills in the field. My commitment to excellence and passion for innovation drive me to seek new challenges and contribute to meaningful projects.
