Once upon a long time ago, I got the nickname Jip (pronounced 'Yip'). In that form, I usually write it like 'J!P'. Jip also is a character created by the Dutch writer Annie M.G. Schmidt in the series of 'Jip en Janneke' and that is why I have this avatar. It is a drawing by Fiep Westendorp who did all of the drawings on Jip en Janneke. 'Jippie' is a colloquial form of Jip (like Frank becomes Franky) of Jip and also happens to mean 'yippee' in English.
