I've been an avid user of Ubuntu Linux since 2007 (version 7.10) when my windows ibm laptop decided to fail in modem/wifi/ethernet/sound all during exams. I had a CD I just burned of Ubuntu. I slotted that CD in, Ubuntu installed, effortlessly. Ubuntu also found all the communication devices in my laptop, effortlessly, found all the drivers, effortlessly, installed all the drivers, again, effortlessly, and by the time the hour went by (again, 2007), I had a perfectly working computer. I've never looked back. Most days I'm doing educational philosophy in doctoral studies and permaculture on the side. I've been an avid mathematics teacher in HS for 10 years. I've also taught at the university. I've several papers published in contemplative educational models of education. My background is in mathematics. I do sysadmin for work alongside teaching mindfulness and meditation through a sophia perennis lens and framework of interpretation. Little known fact about me: I love Novell.
