Ubuntu Advantage was a commercial support package offered by Canonical. It included 10 years of software updates for packages in the Main repository, as well as kernel livepatching for selected kernel lines. This was rebranded as Ubuntu Pro in January 2023.

Ubuntu Advantage offered the following features for businesses:

  • Landscape (hosted system management solution)
  • Optional phone/ticket support

The kernel livepatching feature of Ubuntu Advantage was free to use for up to 3 machine ID's.
