How can I fix the Skype (and the Franz) tray icon not showing up properly?

Franz Version: 4.0.4 Build: 40 Release: 1.3.1 / linux / x64
skype-bin:i386 4.3.0.37-0ubuntu0.12.04.1
sni-qt 0.2.7+15.10.20150729-0ubuntu1
sni-qt:i386 0.2.7+15.10.20150729-0ubuntu1

Other observations:

Besides Skype, the same propblem occurs with Franz.

To have Skype tray icon displayed install sni-qt package:

sudo apt-get install sni-qt:i386
