So I am trying to make the switch from Windows 8 to Ubuntu. I am sick of windows 8 and I want to start fresh and learn a new OS. But I need help. Apparently making the switch seems like a rather complicated process. My computer is pre-installed with Windows and it also does not have a disc drive. Any guidance here would be greatly appreciated!

I recently installed Ubuntu as well, and it was pretty easy and painless.
- Download ubuntu from ubuntu.com
- Download Pen Drive to your USB (Needs 2gb or higher)
- Run Pen Drive Installer and select the ISO file
- Insert USB to computer
- Reboot computer and set the Boot First option to the flash drive in BIOS
- Follow the on screen instructions.
There will be times when it appears to not be doing anything, but it is working. It will take while so just be patient.
Have fun!!
