so, I have several issues. first, I get logged for PCIe not being perfectly connected or aligned. which is not something I necessarily want. or even care about.
the second issue is that the logging never stops. and I mean, never. I actually left my PC on only to find out that syslog and kern.log took together over 800GB of space. and I mean that literally, on my computer. yeah, I get I have issues, but they are not critical, so why am I flooded with them?
then, the third problem is what was inside those log messages, many of them an error messages because the disk was full. what I mean is, that the computer failed to write to log, because the log was full, so it attempted to write that to log. spamming my log with errors saying it couldn't write to the file! that is a really dumb message.
I am new with linux, just installed ubuntu ver 6.14.0-15-generic. I enjoy it, learning a lot. feels nicer than windows. just that I had a lot of stupid issues with it. I was really disappointed with having bugs straight from system install that caused me to have to reboot my installation. something like 4 times. I have an amd driver, and didn't know I needed to blacklist radeon or on system setup my computer screen might stay black sometimes, instead of going to boot. for example.
anyways, where do I post this bug?
