I am new to Linux. After a routine installation of Ubuntu 24.04 on an unpartitioned 3Tb disk, I soon ran out of 'Filesystem Root space'! A download of GParted also failed because I'm 'out of space.' So the only option now seems to be to reinstall Ubuntu, but how do I avoid the same mistake again? I'm ignorant about the required partition sizes, and do not even remember being prompted to specify Partition sizes during the installation. I guess I just assumed that a default installation would take care of it.
