Using kubuntu 24.04.2lts, using whatever base drivers this comes with (i have not made any changes other than switch to wayland), i am specifically running this on an MSI Modern 15 B7M-229au

i am doing this on an msi laptop which i assume is why the MSI WMI hotkeys thing is here in the first place

it is also showing acpi things when using acpi_listen. I know it is Video Bus doing the random brightness changes because using evtest i can see it randomly doing the brightness up key. whereas MSI WMI hotkeys does not do the random events

i tried disabling one with a udev rule but it didnt seem to be doing anything. i tried blacklisting the "video" driver - still didnt work.

I am using wayland if this helps any.

I am really stumped and any help would be greatly appreciated
