I have a microSD card that I have been using for ~10 years in my phone for storage. Lately my phone has been raising issues about it, so I wanted to backup the data, but I fear I might be too late.
When I insert the microSD card in an adapter to my Ubuntu laptop, nothing happens. No new entries are found in /dev/ or when running sudo fdisk -l. When I do the same thing with a new microSD card in the same adapter in the same slot, it is detected immediately, so I doubt the issue comes from those.
Is there a way to detect my old microSD card? Is it that it's formatted for Android and therefore not recognised? Or did it just die after 10 years of loyal services?
