I really want Linux dual booted on my laptop

I started by downloading Ubuntu 24.04 and put the ISO on the USB stick via balenaEtcher with no error messages, but I'm having problems when I try to boot the installation.

The first thing that appears is a small error text error: file '/boot/' not found. Can't find command group_p.

Then the small menu with the text (Grub).

try or install Ubuntu
Ubuntu (safe graphics)
Boot for next volume
UEFI Firmware Settings

The problem here is that nothing happens when I choose to press any of these except the error text error: file '/boot/' not found

When I tried the same USB stick on a desktop computer, the Ubuntu installation started right away, so the USB stick is not the problem here I guess.

I have also tried using Rufus instead of balenaEtcher. I have turned off fast boot and Secure Boot, but I still have the same problem as before.
