On Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, whenever I log in and then start Google Chrome I get the 'Authentication Required: An application wants access to the keyring 'Default Keyring' but it is locked'.
To be clear:
- I am not using automatic login
- I am not using timed login
- I have followed instructions linked to from the (similar but different question) AUTHENTICATION REQUIRED: An application wants access to the keyring "Default Keyring", but it is locked. Can I disable this? to reset Default Keyring password to be identical to the login password. (It already was.)
- I have tried following other instructions to delete the keyrings entirely and set them up again (with identical password to login)
- I don't want to set my passwords to be plain text as suggested in another solution. I shouldn't have to.
My /etc/gdm3/custom.conf is:
# GDM configuration storage
# See /usr/share/gdm/gdm.schemas for a list of available options.
