After upgrading to Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS from 22.04, I am encountering a black screen randomly on system startup with an x-shaped mouse cursor on the screen. I think this is a problem with gdm3. Can you tell me how to fix it? I can get into terminal by pressing Ctrl+F4 and start gdm3 with following command:
sudo systemctl restart gdm3
And enabled
WaylandEnable=false by uncommenting the line on:
/etc/gdm3/custom.conf
Hopefully it will work.
