I am using Ubuntu 24.04 64 bit and try to watch a movie on a Blueray disc. When I try to open it with VLC it says that the config file is missing. Following another post I downlaoded the keydb.cfg
~/.config/aacs$ ll

and neither the German nor the English version solve my problem.
The movie I want to watch is from 2023 so not from yesterday.
Following this other post I also installed
sudo apt install libbluray-bin
sudo apt install libbdplus
sudo apt install libaacs
sudo apt install libbluray-bdj
from another post I also added for good measure
sudo apt install libbluray2
following this post I can also confirm that I am not using the snap version of vlc.
Do you have other ideas how I could solve this problem?
Or can I use alternative players?
Edit: Now I also added some obscure files under ~/.config/bdplus following this page , but still no movie.
