My work Ubuntu 24.04.1 host just updates to 24.04.2... Which would NORMALLY not be a big deal... Except that the kernel upgraded not to an updated 6.8 kernel (like the kernel lifecycle doc says it uses), but the 6.11 kernel from Ubuntu 24.10.

This means that a kernel driver I have to build now for a product I use won't build because the kernel is too new.

Can we please revisit the idea of slipstreaming new dot releases of kernels?
