What is the difference between dir and ls? Because both of them are listing a directory and when i saw the help of both. That were same. And also i have found it on this forum but i did not understood that.And the following is the link of that question that i did not understood.The question is the same as below one but it did not solved my problem therefor i posted a new one. Difference between 'dir' and 'ls' terminal commands?

The difference between dir and ls is almost non-existent. In my personal use the only difference i found is that ls has colored text by default while dir does not. In conclusion they both do the same thing but dir has special use cases outside of the normal user terminal.
