I have an external HDD which I have been using on my laptop for a number of years. However, it has suddenly stopped mounting and gives the error message:

Failed to mount "Elements" Error mounting /dev/sdb1 at/media/HPotter/Elements: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sdb1, missing codepage or helper program, or other error.

The funny thing is that I know the HDD is still good as I can mount and open it all OK on another laptop.

Any ideas how I can fix this without having to do a full re-install?

Using Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS & my drive is not mounting only on this one laptop, but opens all OK on another. So not hibernated
