I'm considering the switch from Thunderbird (which they broke a year and a half ago and haven't fixed, I have no emails and no calendars unless I go to safe-mode and have to reset all settings each time I launch TB) to evolution, but 2 things are blocking me:
- how do you (can you) remove an attachment from an email ? (in TB I have the option to save, delete or detach files, renaming them in the process. Too many files/pictures/signatures are attached to emails these days and they would bloat folders quickly if I can't remove them but keep their path in the stored emails)
- I cannot find a simple way to migrate my emails from TB. Do I really have to import manually every single subfolder in my local drive (I do not like cloud-based system and all my emails are stored locally) ??
Ubuntu: Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS Evolution: 3.52.3-0ubuntu1
Thanks for any help/light shedded on the issue (or suggestions of better email clients)
