I'm facing a strange issue with my dual boot setup. I am using a single 1TB SSD where I have separate partition for different things.
1 for the windows install,
1 for my ubuntu install and
2 data partition which are ntfs(windows 11 defaults(were there before I even made space from one of them to install ubuntu on it)).
Now when ever I am switching between the two os's the data on the data partition (specifically codes, other similar text based files are just either vanishing or becoming unreadable) for example on opening the disk in windows / mounting it in ubuntu it just shows that xyzGB is used but shows no folders/ files inside it (yes I checked for hidden files etc.) another strange thing that happened was that files like html etc just became unreadable and ther text got converted into strange not ascii/utf characters.
These issues just totally get fixed if I run a simple disk check / fix errors in windows(the right click go to properties and tool and check for erros). This issue doesn't occur if I open ubuntu after fixing the files in windows, but occurs each time I open and edit things in windows and shutdown / close it.
I usually never hybernate my device, except the very rare ocassion of it reaching into hybernate while I was busy for a long time afk, but in those cases I always boot back to the same os (never happened till now only has gone to sleep that too in ubuntu and woke up back there so no issues by switching from one to other in a non shut down state).
