I updated from 22.04 to 24.04, and my user session randomly switches between Xorg and Wayland. I select the Xorg session option in the display manager when I start my laptop, but sometimes on the next boot, or after several boots, the option reverts to Wayland. This is annoying because I use several tools that lack Wayland support, forcing me to close the session and switch back to Xorg. Does anyone have any ideas about what could be causing this and how to fix it?
