Since my ubuntu-expert friend is not longer available , i am desperate to get back to work with my PC somehow on my own. I have no idea about coding or anything. I am honestly very lost with computers. I checked out the forum and the www for answers. It seems like this is a commen problem and the GNU GRUB menu - recovery mode - is the way to go. But as soon as it comes to the window with the "recovering mode (read only filesystem)" i am frozen and dont know what to do. Since i dont wanne destroy any data i feel like a fool. Please support me on this. And please, if you do so, try to be as specific as you can. Also with : how to enter or how to switch line or something. I can also forward pictures of the errors and windows if necessary. I am really really looking forwart for support and comments. Kind regards. Elsa
