I'm a Windows 11 user and I want to dual boot Ubuntu. I'm not sure if I can boot from an Ubuntu installer USB/run the ISO with Secure Boot enabled. I have not run the ISO or booted it up yet.

Most Windows laptops ship with Secure Boot enabled by default. On OEM Windows laptops Secure Boot often remains enabled by default, even after resetting the settings in the UEFI setup utility by removing the CMOS battery for five minutes. The UEFI can be accessed by pressing a specific UEFI setup utility access key shortly after the computer is powered on. This key is specific to the model of the computer.

In most cases, you need to temporarily disable Secure Boot to boot from a bootable Ubuntu installation USB. Secure Boot is a security feature that restricts the system to boot only trusted, signed operating systems. By turning it off you're allowing the system to boot from unsigned media like a bootable Ubuntu USB.

Once you've successfully installed Ubuntu, remember to re-enable Secure Boot to maintain system security.
