I am struggling to set the hibernate mode on my Ubuntu laptop. I’ve been trying to suspend it, but it's not quite good.

I've tried several guides I found on the internet. I even tried ChatGPT but no luck there.
I am thinking that my Lenovo ThinkBook laptop does not support it for Ubuntu.

I would be grateful if someone could help me, as the hibernation mode is really convenient.

it works for me

Note: don't create new swapfile it willn't work only use the default swap.img and increase it's space. I tried with new swapfile it doesn't work

With my Dell Laptop (bought 2013) with Ubuntu 24 "hibernate" works either by closing the lid, or by pressing "Fn+Einfg" (in German). I can then leave the lid open, and restart by the Power button. It also worked with Ubuntu 22. Apparently no current is required to maintain the hibernate state. "Einfg" means "insert", it is 2 keys to the right beyond key "F12". "Fn" is the key next to the left "ctrl" key (There is an "Fn" key and a "Windows" key between "ctrl" and "Alt").
