I am using Pinta 1.7 on Ubuntu 20.10.

When I create text and complete it I can no longer edit the text I have created or move it around. If I try to edit it it simply writes the new text on top of the existing text.

So how to I edit existing text I have created or move it to another location?

This:

https://www.pinta-project.com/user-guide/text/

does not cover this use case.

I'm also wondering about that... It's either really obvious to everyone but you and me, or this is not a text-editing program and once you put the text in you cannot delete it. I have resorted to putting the text in a separate layer for quick deletion if edits become necessary (I just make a new layer with the text as I need it to be).

Actually you can simply use layers. Not sure about the "Edit Text" part but for rotate and move. it works great.

How to rotate text in Pinta?
