I am trying to install libpci-dev library in Ubuntu 18.04.5 LTS since I am working on Linux driver stuff that communicates with a board over PCIe. However, using apt-get command I get the following error:
$ sudo apt-get install libpci-dev

I tried to run the following set of commands hoping it will fix the dependency issue, but no success:
sudo apt-get autoremove
sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get install -f
I checked the output of this command and there is no error:
sudo dpkg --configure -a
I installed synaptic and tried to install the development library from there, however, this is what I get as an error:
So how can I solve this issue? What am I missing?
