The State Counsellor of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Kazakh: Қазақстан Республикасының Мемлекеттік кеңесшісі; Russian: Государственный Советник Республики Казахстан), formerly the State Secretary of Kazakhstan (Kazakh: Қазақстан Республикасының Мемлекеттік хатшысы; Russian: Государственный Секретарь Республики Казахстан) is an appointed post under the direct supervision of the president of Kazakhstan.[1]

The state counsellor develops proposals for the president on domestic and foreign policy and coordinates activities on social and cultural issues.[2]
