Stronghold/Structure/Large Room

This page documents the layer-by-layer composition of a given generated structure, terrain feature, or feature.

Large rooms are sometimes found in strongholds, up to 6 per stronghold can generate. They have four exits (including the entrance to the room) and come in four variants: empty room, pillar room, fountain room and storeroom. The probability for each variant is not the same: the empty room has double the chance to generate compared to each of the other variants.

Of the four exits, only the entrance to the room generates one of the doors at random, while the others are always plain 3×3 openings.

Pillar and fountain room variants are exactly like the empty room, but with a decoration in the middle (respectevly, a pillar and a fountain); the store room variant, instead, is separated into two levels by a layer of oak planks and cobblestone, with a cobblestone structure in the middle connecting the two. The second floor contains a single loot chest, and can be accessed by ladders placed against one side of the wall.

Blueprints

Of the layers below, "E" is for "empty", "P" is for "pillar", "F" is for "fountain" and "S" is for "store" room variants. They are laid out as if the player enters from the bottom of the room
