Chapter 9
Steve is escorted to the portal, being warned by Malgosha that he only his three days to complete his task. Meanwhile, it becomes nighttime in the Overworld, and the Gang are attacked by numerous hostile mobs. Garrett escapes through a tunnel underground, while Henry, Natalie, and Dawn run through some trees, with Henry unintentionally knocking himself into one, causing a chunk of it to float in the air.
Chapter 10
Henry quickly makes a house to protect himself, Natalie, and Dawn from zombies. Garrett emerges beneath the surface, but is caught in a creeper explosion after unintentionally hitting one. He eventually makes it to the house, but the cube is destroyed by a skeleton's arrow. The group are then cornered by zombies on the top of the house.
Chapter 11
The four are soon rescued by Steve as it becomes daytime. He introduces himself and agrees to help the misfits return home, planning to do so by stealing another crystal from the Woodland Mansion. In the Nether, Malgosha orders General Chungus to lead an army to kill the humans.
Chapter 12
Upon arriving at Midport Village, Steve introduces the group to the villagers, and leads them to Steve's Lava Chicken!. Garrett takes a bit out of the chicken, but his mouth can’t handle the heat.
Chapter 13
As the group move through Midport Village, Dawn and Natalie notice a cartographer selling maps, and Garrett and Henry follow Steve to his stash. Steve introduces Henry and Garrett to the crafting table, crafting an iron sword. Henry crafts a "battle-swax" – a combination of a sword, an axe, and a mace – and Steve commends him for letting his imagination run wild.
Chapter 14
Garrett crafts a bucket, followed by another one attached with a chain. Henry then crafts a tot launcher using items from Earth, inspecting it for himself. Garrett then talks to Steve in private about taking some of his diamonds from the Redstone Mines to pay off his debts, and Steve reluctantly agrees. Just then, rumbling is heard as the village is attacked by General Chungus and his army.
Chapter 15
The humans get the upper hand and eventually escape, splitting up in the process. Steve, Henry, and Garrett escape with elytra and are chased through the air by piglins and ghasts before landing safely in a water pad released from a bucket that Steve had given Henry.
Chapter 16
Back in Midport Village, Malgosha fires General Chungus, who is killed by the Great Hog. Dawn and Natalie then attempt to craft a boat to follow the cartographer, but are unable to do so. They chase after the cartographer as something watches them from behind some trees.
