I go to UMass Dartmouth, and I’m majoring in civil engineering because I’m passionate about designing and building structures that improve communities. I enjoy problem-solving, working with real-world applications of math and science, and impacting the world around me. I hope to become a professional civil engineer specializing in structural or environmental engineering. I aim to work on projects that enhance sustainability and resilience in structures. Later on in my career, I’d love to be part of large-scale projects like bridges, highways, or green city planning.

I have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, experience with unit conversions, estimation, and engineering calculations, and teamwork and leadership skills, especially from Women in Engineering seminars. I also am proficient in AutoCAD and other BIM software. A major project I have done was finishing my basement, which included framing walls, converting and calculating, etc. I haven’t had much repair experience yet, but I’d love to learn and am open to learning how to fix objects. I’d love to learn how to fix structural repairs for buildings or even my phone screen!

I have received scholarships such as the Women in Defense, Greater Boston Chapter. I have also participated in Women in Engineering programs and seminars. I was on the Dean's list for the Fall 2024 semester. I am a part of the Women in Engineering (WiE) club. I plan to join some type of Civil Engineering student organization (potentially joining ASCE - American Society of Civil Engineers)

A few of my hobbies are listening to music and reading. This project will give me hands-on experience with engineering concepts that are directly applicable to my future career. It will help me develop problem-solving skills and work in a team setting, which are essential skills for any civil engineer.

I love pasta; it is a food I can’t live without! My favorite music artist is Frank Ocean.
