Hello! My name is Stevie Anne Hebert, and I am happy to be working with iFixit!
I am a student at Idaho State University, majoring in social work and criminology. Following the future completion of my Master's of Social Work, I plan to go into juvenile delinquency case management to work towards reform of juvenile justice on an individual basis.
Courage, decisiveness, dependability, enthusiasm, endurance, justice, and loyalty — these are all leadership qualities I possess that will be beneficial for my career. Courage and endurance will help me solve emotionally challenging cases, decisiveness will aid me in making quick decisions on cases, and dependability means I will continue to show up day after day, even when cases challenge me. Enthusiasm will show my vigorous energy and passion for my career. Justice is especially important in a criminal justice career, making fair decisions for all parties involved. With loyalty, I will show thorough dedication to seeing justice served in my community.
In the past, I have received recognition for my academics and service, including a nomination for a service award through the Idaho governor in 2015. In 2014, I organized a food drive for my community, and in 2015, I organized a coat drive for the local homeless shelter. Although these were many years ago, they are both impressive feats for a fourth or fifth-grade student. Additionally, I became a ROAD Scholar in 2023, receiving a scholarship for my freshman year at Idaho State.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. Whether it be hanging out at home watching a movie or going on a hike, I love to be around those close to me! I also enjoy yoga, scenic walks, and being creative in several areas. I have dabbled in jewelry making, painting, scrapbooking, and more! I also enjoy reading, however, it is hard to read for fun during the school year, so I keep most of my "fun" reading reserved for the long breaks in the summers or over winter breaks. Further, I love to spend time with my cat, Summer. She is the sweetest cat, and I cannot imagine my life without her!
I have yet to repair anything, however, I am excited to educate myself through the Technical Writing Project on basic electronic repairs to do my part in contributing to iFixit's mission to reduce electronic waste in landfills. Additionally, the Technical Writing Project with iFixit will aid in report writing in my future career - ensuring my writing is clear, concise, and informed.
