Major: I am currently working towards a masters in K-12 educational Leadership (principal certification) and a Professional Writing certificate. I choose the Professional Writing Certificate to be able to become dual enrollment certified which will allow me to be able to offer college to my Digital Communications Students.

Aspirations: My short term aspirations is to become dual enrollment certified. However, my end goal is to become a principal of a Career and Tech high school or Career and Technical Education Director.

Repair Experience: Being a high school computer teacher for sixteen years and a homeowner, I have had to learn to become savvy and fix/repair. When it comes to kids plucking the keys of keyboards or a broken piece of equipment, I’m always the first to try and repair it. The internet and YouTube have saved me!

About me: I am a high school Graphic Design and Digital Communications teacher. I hold an undergraduate degree in Career and Technical Education with an Emphasis in Graphic Design from Northern Arizona University. I am certified in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Indesign and Adobe Premiere Pro. I also am Nocti certified in Graphic Design.

Interest: When I’m not writing lesson plans or working on homework, I enjoy traveling the world and taking pictures. I love to sew clothes and make quilts.

Fun fact: I purchased a serger from a local sewing shop, it was returned because the person didn’t know how to use it. I paid $100 for a $500 machine. The owner of the shop said she thought the machine was broken. I took it home, YouTubed how to thread the machine and after a few times watching the video, I got the machine threading and it sewed beautifully.
