Hello there, if you are reading this then you have stumbled upon my profile, unfortunately. Well, since you are here I might as well tell you about myself. My name is Nathan Irvine and I am an Information Technology Undergraduate student at York University.
Growing up I was constantly surrounded by technology, my dad being an IT project manager was always finding ways to incorporate technology into our daily lives. It wasn't long before every floor of the house had a Roomba and every room had a Siri. This made it easier for me to grasp the concept of different technologies at such a young age. It only makes sense that eventually I would want to pursue the same career as my dad.
My dads upgrades even extended outside the house. With help from his friends he built a deck for when company is over and sheds for storage. Naturally being inspired by what my dad did I wanted to build something of my own. So I incorporated woodworking with the technology that I use on a daily basis. With the help of my dad and grandpa I was able to build a desk that had enough room for both coding and paperwork.
In 2024 I graduated from Humber College with an advanced diploma in game programming. Now my sights are set on obtaining an honors bachelor degree from York University. My goal is to be exposed to different programming languages as well as learn more about the software and hardware sides of technology. With this degree it will open up more career opportunities for me, so that I may find a job that perfectly fits me and that pays well. In the end I wish to live a life where I do not need to worry about financial struggles.
